Illegal migration has reached crisis levels, with tens of thousands of undocumented migrants flooding across our borders each year. This is not only a violation of our sovereignty but a direct threat to national security, public safety, and social stability. The time for half-measures is over. The UK must immediately declare a national emergency and take the bold step of temporarily withdrawing from all international agreements that impede our ability to secure our borders. This includes the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), the 1951 Refugee Convention, the Global Compact for Migration, and the Schengen Acquis. These outdated agreements, along with the jurisdiction of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), have tied our hands, preventing the UK from acting in its own best interests.
The Labour government must also close the borders to all but essential travel, implement strict maritime and land patrols, and drastically reform asylum processing. Illegal migrants caught crossing into the UK should be immediately detained, with swift deportation measures in place. The current asylum system is broken, and it is being exploited on an industrial scale. Until the borders are fully secured and the country regains control, the UK should not entertain any new asylum claims or refugee applications. This emergency measure is necessary to protect the British people, restore order, and send a clear message that illegal migration will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The UK must stand firm and place national security and sovereignty above international obligations that no longer serve the nation’s interests.
