This marks a momentous day in history, the Supreme Court has finally decided to make abortion legislation state enforced, instead of federally. In other words, it’s the decision of the state as to whether they want abortion to be legal, or not.

The article by AP News exclaims, “The Supreme Court has ended constitutional protections for abortion that had been in place nearly 50 years”. They talk about “constitutional protections” like the U.S. constitution explicitly talks about abortions, despite the constitution having no mention of someone’s right to murder an unborn foetus. These are the same people who believe that the right to bear arms should be removed, and that “my body my choice” only applies to abortion and not medical bodily autonomy. They are so oblivious to the double standard, it’s actually quite frightening.

A couple of months ago, the draft decision by Justice Samuel Alito was leaked, indicating the court was thinking about overturning Roe v Wade, the original decision that legalized abortion which was built on the premise that Roe was gang raped. The leak sparked outrage, and even convinced an anarchy group, dubbed Jane’s Revenge, to become a terrorist organisation, and start targeting pro-life organisations through arson. Jane’s Revenge, even suggested in a statement that they will continuously target these pro-life organisations, until they are all ‘disbanded’. You can read more on that story here.
