On Sunday 14th August, Stand Up to Racism led my Patrick Connellan had a second Stab at pressuring Carmarthen Council to remove the Picton Obelisk. This Obelisk has been standing for nearly 200 years.

Sir Thomas Picton is the most highly decorated Welsh War hero who died at the battle of Waterloo liberating Europe from slavery.

The people of Carmarthen have already spoke on this matter where it was an overwhelming decision to keep it standing but like the good little fascists they are, Stand Up To Racism don’t care.

It really shows these people for who they are when they feel their opinion on an War Memorial should be priority over the actual residents of Carmarthen because remember, these people don’t live in Carmarthen!
