On the 16th July, James attended a Keep it Cash rally in Bristol run by Debbie Hicks. This event, which saw a decent turnout, had speeches from, Piers Corbyn, Debbie Hicks, James Harvey, Jonathon Tilt, and was overall a really well planned event. Check out the video below.

Wales Becomes First Nation in UK to Implement a 20mph National Speed Limit.
This pilot scheme will come into action in Wales from next year and will limit those driving down residential roads and busy streets to 20mph. Remember, you have leeway of about 20% to go faster than the speed limit without getting a ticket. For example, if you are driving on a 60mph road, then you are allowed to drive up to 72mph without getting a ticket, whereas on 20mph that leeway is less, due to a smaller number, with only an extra wiggle room of 4mph before you get charged £60+.
Welsh Government Plans to Increase Taxes Even More Despite Cost of Living Crisis.
As part of the new plan, the Welsh Government aims to reassess all 1.5 million properties in Wales in order to create new bands alongside updated tax rates for each band. During the re-evaluations, the Welsh Government also aims to “overhaul” discounts, exemptions, premiums and the Council Tax Reduction Scheme, which only provides support to low-income households.

My Take on the Metropolitan Police Being Placed in Special Measures.
Recent news is that six UK-based police forces have been placed in special measures after an inspector found “substantial and persistent” concerns which are allegedly exacerbated by the number of “inexperienced recruits brought in as part of the national drive to replace thousands of officers cut during austerity measures.” Some of these concerns also stem from a damning report, published last March, which revealed that the force’s ability to tackling corruption was “fundamentally flawed.”
